The company
was founded in 1964, by Giuseppe Muscariello, to produce and sell
handmade men's
shirts under his own brand.
Giuseppe inheritance the passion for the shirts from his grandmother
ANNA, which at the end of 1800 already produced hand made shirts.
The shirt's
production is characterized by a high number of stitches (armhole,
yoke, box pleats, button
holes, collar, cuffs, mouche and cross stitch) and attention to
detail (removable stays, reinforcing
mouche, mother of pearl buttons and pocket handkerchief).
In 1996, the
styling and design of the product was entrusted to Mario Muscariello
who, without ever
forgetting the basics of the Italian school of tailoring, combines
tradition and innovation in a single
product, producing not only dress shirts but also luxury sportswear.
2001, The
worldwide press discovers Mario Muscariello and his own creations.
In the years to follow they write of him: Leon, Men'Ex, GQ,
I-Quality and others.
In 2004, Mario
draws his first collection of ties. Among his clients also the
C.O.N.I. Campania and Ordine dei Giornalisti.
In 2005 after
years of search the company starts to also produce Jackets
in a series
signed by Mario Muscariello.
A mix of comfort and elegance that,
in some way, takes inspiration from the jackets of the early 20th
century.
Softened by a large number of manual steps - with the stitching
of the shoulder turned backwards
to support it better, but without any rigid structure inside -
lined only in the sleeve - enhanced by
mother of pearl buttons - these are the main features of a product
created to combine comfort and
elegance
In June of
2005, the brand Mario Muscariello is invited to participate at
PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO in Florance.
"La Pulcinella" is born. It is a shirt/jacket, with
precious buttons of red coral.
Created for the warm climates, it will also be sold in North Europa
from exclusive boutiques as the Maison Degand in Bruxelles.
The production
is 100% made in Italy. Also the suppliers of our fabrics are from
Italy.
Currently
the company produces: formal shirts, sportswear shirts, jackets,
waistcoats, ties, coat and scarfs.
More or less,
the Japanese market is 50% of our world market. Italy and Benelux
represent 30%. The other 20% is very fragmented (from U.S.A. to
the CHINA).
From 2011
the company also offers a service of CMT for big customers
with particular needs on the shirts.
The company
has own agents in: Bruxelles, Tokyo, Shanghay and Hong Kong.
